A vibrant multicultural campus life, internationally accredited programs, as well as diverse scholarship and financial aid opportunities; all these features were strongly showcased during Abu Dhabi University’s bi-annual “Open Week”. With a turn-out of more than 2,700 high school students representing around 50 public and private schools from across the UAE, the week-long event offered participating 11th and 12th graders the opportunity to learn about the various internationally accredited undergraduate programs ADU has to offer in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, and Arts and Sciences.

Commenting on the “Open Week”, Laila Kroma Senior Manager of Admissions, Enrollment and International Relations Department expressed the University’s pride in the overwhelming success of the event as embodied in the boost in the number of expected participating students from 1,500 to 2,700 students from more than 50 schools. “Every year, more and more students turn up to participate in ADU’s Open Week events, and this speaks volumes to the quality of education offered at the University. It is also a testament to the stature that ADU has achieved as one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the region with its dedication to innovation and excellence in teaching, scientific research and community service, as well as its portfolio of diverse and internationally benchmarked programs that prepare graduates who will help shape the national development process in line with the policy agenda of Abu Dhabi’s Government and its Economic Vision 2030”, explained Kroma.

“Over the years, ADU’s Open Week has transformed into a comprehensive and interactive platform for communication between the University and various schools across the UAE, giving high school students an insight into the University’s energetic and multicultural campus life, and allowing our faculty members the opportunity to engage with high school students to introduce them to the academic areas of study that they are most passionate about. The informative and interactive workshops by College representatives are one of the most sought after events of the week and most participating high schools students leave after having successfully identified the fields that they might be interested in pursuing during their upcoming university and professional life. Especially since we endeavor to organize these workshops in specializations that students relate to based on information and discussions with their high school career counselors”, Kroma added.

The ADU Open Week also showcased several programs such as the Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Marketing, the Bachelor of Law, the Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (in Arabic and English) and many more.
